Giulio Paolini and Haris Epaminonda in Castello di Rivoli’s Collection

Castello di Rivoli Museo d’Arte Contemporanea is redesigning its permanent collection through new commissions, acquisitions, and re-hangings. As part of the collection’s redisplay, the museum is devoting a room to Giulio Paolini, unfolding in two acts: for the first act of the project, which has been underway since the summer, the artist selected “Contemplator enim” and “In esilio”, pre-existing installations that serve as spatial devices to display other works of his; in the second act of the project, starting in October 2026, these installations will host a group of works originally belonging to Gino Viliani – a passionate collector of Paolini’s art – which have been promised as a gift to the museum.

As part of Inserzioni – the Castello di Rivoli’s permanent workshop that invites contemporary artists to engage with the unfinished architecture of the Castle and the collection’s display – a work has been commissioned from Haris Epaminonda.
